The Trust
The Zagdu Singh Charitable Trust.
The Trust institutions have been building education infrastructure in Kandivali since 1995 — schools, junior colleges, and the engineering college that in 2001 became TCET. Thirty years of consistent, family-stewarded investment in the same square kilometre of Mumbai.
TCTE — Deemed to be University is the culmination of that arc. A single institutional authority now issues the degree, admits the student, and receives the fee. The Trust remains the custodian; the university carries the academic mandate.

Trust institutions founded
The Zagdu Singh Charitable Trust begins its work in education across Kandivali.
2001
TCET is established
First engineering cohort of 240 admitted under the University of Mumbai.
2019
Autonomy conferred
UGC grants autonomous status. Full curriculum authority.
2026
Deemed University
Ministry of Education confers Deemed to be University status — first in Maharashtra under the UGC 2023 regulations.
